Throughout September and October EREA will gather with the Christian Brothers in each region and share with them some of the developments in our schools over the last few years.
The first of these gatherings occurred at Nudgee College, Brisbane, on Tuesday. Dr Wayne Tinsey shared about some of the highlights and challenges of the last few years and presented the renewed Charter. There was also a presentation on EREBB and our schools globally.
The Brothers greatly appreciated being kept up-to-date about the continuing legacy of the Edmund Rice Mission and were extremely affirming of the current directions of our schools.
We acknowledge the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples of Australia as the traditional owners and custodians of the land of our schools. We are inspired and nurtured by their wisdom, spirituality and experience. We commit ourselves to actively
work alongside them for reconciliation and justice. We pay our respects to the Elders; past, present and future. As we take our next step we remember the first footsteps taken on this sacred land.
