An induction program for people emerging and middle leaders in EREA schools and Oceania Ministries.
The call of Simon (Peter) and the first disciples in Luke’s Gospel provides insightful exploration of what it means to respond to the call to be a leader. What commences as a miracle story soon becomes a story of calling and honest self reflection. Not only must the one who is called to trust the one who calls them, they must also trust in their own ability if they are to set out ‘into the deep’ as disciple. Jesus informs his first disciples that they will be catching people “alive” and leading them to the fullness of life that is God’s vision of justice, peace and compassion for all creation: the Reign of God.
To provide those who feel called to leadership within within EREA and the Oceania Province with the opportunity to integrate their leadership potential and development with an emerging understanding of charism and mission – both personally and collectively. Specifically, the program aims to offer:
an experience of being a learning community and an inquiry into what it might mean to continue as a learning community that supports and informs leadership for mission
