A program for people working in Catholic education in the Edmund Rice Tradition for an extended period.

Why Mt Sinai?

Mt Sinai provides people who have been working in Catholic schools in the Edmund Rice tradition for an extended period (at least ten years), with opportunities for personal reflection, conversation with people from other schools and ministries, reflection on the stories that give us a sense of identity, as well as a chance to look to the future. It provides space and opportunity to encounter the sacred in their lives and in the world, just as Elijah did on the mountain top:

"Now there was a great wind, so strong that it was splitting mountains and breaking rocks in pieces before God, but God was not in the wind; and after the wind an earthquake, but God was not in the earthquake; and after the earthquake a fire, but God was not in the fire; and after the fire a sound of sheer silence. "

(1 Kings 19:11-12)
