It is with much pleasure that I announce Mr Peter Leahy has been appointed to the position of National Director Stewardship for Edmund Rice Education Australia effective from June 2020.
Peter is an experienced strategic and financial leader with a career spanning banking, finance and sports administration, and currently heading his own financial consultancy business. His leadership has spanned two industries, four Australian states and territories, and two countries. As Chair of the Board, former Chair of the Finance Committee, and a parent at St Kevin's College in Toorak, Peter brings a long term understanding and experience of Edmund Rice Education Australia to this role.
Peter complements his leadership experience with a sound academic record including an Executive MBA from the Australian Graduate School of Management, and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of New South Wales.
He is an active member of the Parish of St Michael's Catholic Church in Ashburton.
It is these and many other gifts Peter brings to EREA that he will apply to key areas in his role as National Director Stewardship.
On behalf of all members of the Edmund Rice Education Australia community, I warmly congratulate Peter on this significant appointment.
As Edmund Rice Education Australia enters an exciting period of refreshed strategic directions and transitions in national leadership, we are well positioned to continue our mission as Catholic schools in the Edmund Rice tradition.
With best wishes
