ABOUT EREA:

Edmund Rice Education Australia (EREA) is a National Not-for-Profit Organisation, responsible for the governance and administration of 55 Catholic schools in the Edmund Rice tradition across Australia.

Our schools include mainstream education, flexible learning centres for disenfranchised young people, and special schools, primary, secondary, and early learning centres, boys’ education and co-education, day and boarding schools, and metro and regional schools, which are located across every state and territory in Australia.

The successful candidate will be part of a supportive team at the EREA National Office and undertake rewarding work which positively impacts the education of over 39,000 young people.

 

ABOUT THE ROLE:

This newly developed role is responsible for supporting the development, implementation, reporting, training and maintenance of EREA’s Assurance Program, in order to ensure our schools and member entities comply with their legal, regulatory, quality and ethical requirements as well as industry best practice.

Areas monitored through EREA’s Assurance Program include but are not limited to:

*Health, Safety & Wellbeing

*Child Safeguarding

*Non-Government School Registration Standards

*Privacy and policy management.

 

A number of elements of this role are flexible and adaptable for the right candidate!

As a national entity, we have offices located in Richmond, VIC and Boondall, QLD. The successful applicant can be based at either of our offices in Melbourne or Brisbane, or at one of our schools in NSW. Flexible work arrangements will be in line with the EREA Flexible Work Arrangements Policy.

This role can be completed full-time or on a part-time basis at FTE 0.8 (4 days per week).

This role is for a fixed period until December 2022, with the possibility to be extended. This is dependant on a review of the role, given it is a new position within the organisation.

ABOUT YOU:

To succeed in the role you will have:

*A Bachelor’s degree in Business/Commerce or equivalent

*Knowledge/qualifications/experience of compliance issues affecting the governance obligations of non-government schools

*Demonstrated ability to research, prepare and analyse reports and papers

*Strong attention to detail and proven analytical/problem solving skills

*Excellent change management and negotiation skills

*Ability to meet deadlines and milestones

*Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders at all levels to achieve desired outcomes

*High level of initiative, with the ability to work autonomously and positively contribute as a staff member

*Commitment to the philosophy and aims of Edmund Rice Education Australia and its legal, moral and ethical obligations

*Positive and professional disposition inclusive of high levels of confidentiality and personal integrity

*Openness to new technology and processes, including training and improvement in skills to enhance performance in the position

*Understanding of and a commitment to the ethos, values, and mission of Catholic Education in the Edmund Rice tradition.
