In Term 4 2018, staff from St Edmund’s Wahroonga and St Gabriel’s Castle Hill gathered together to explore what it means for them to strive towards being a community that deeply cares for our planet.
Following a day in 2017 that opened up the call to care for creation, this opportunity provided the chance to explore how the respective schools both separately and together, as ERSES, might identify what they can work towards and how they might get there. The recently established Sustainability Committee presented their proposed vision statement and values, which was then used to engage all staff in the brainstorming of potential ideas and strategies. They also took the opportunity to share this heart warming video that features staff and students declaring why they long to care more deeply for our common home.
We look forward to what might emerge from this exciting adventure.
