Employment:   Full Time – Maximum Term 3 years with 6-month probation period

 

About the Organisation:

Edmund Rice Ministries Oceania (ERMO) has been established by the Christian Brothers Oceania Province to govern and manage the work of 14 successful Edmund Rice community service entities across Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea.  The entities associated with ERMO work with individuals and communities to impact and address socio-economic disadvantage, education, social isolation, health and wellbeing, disability, social justice and reconciliation.

ERMO and its entities are in a significant organisational change environment undertaking reforms to ensure a sustainable future. We are working to consolidate and foster a cohesive, well networked group, building on a proud service to the community that has emerged over the last 40 years.

About the Opportunity:

Reporting to the ERMO Executive Officer, this newly developed role is primarily focused on underpinning the organisation’s future growth, reforming financial systems and developing financial stability and sustainability strategies.  This includes creating new funding platforms and relationships, developing financial structures for future growth, and ensuring compliance and reporting mechanisms are in place.

It is a pivotal position, as part of the ERMO Executive Team that requires a passionate, energetic and creative professional to work collaboratively to ensure the vision and purpose of ERMO are realised.  The work of this position will amplify our current impact across Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea through new strategic partnerships and sustainable funding opportunities.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

-Deliver a structured business development strategy that positions ERMO in the community/social services sector

-Work collaboratively to oversee the development of financial modelling

-Enhance existing and develop new resource relationships

-Manage collaboratively funding applications and opportunities across the organisation

-Ensure compliance is maintained in relation to contracts and agreements

About the Candidate:

The successful candidate will have a genuine interest in this creative and challenging role, developing a contemporary response to sustainability in the community services sector.  They will have:

-A Bachelor level degree or higher in business administration, commerce, public policy/administration or equivalent

-Minimum 5 years’ experience as a commercial, business or operational manager in the community services sector

-Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, including working with and reporting to boards and other governing entities

-An understanding of the funding landscape in the community services sector

-An ability to influence and drive successful outcomes

-Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail and ability to tailor messaging to a variety of audiences

-Excellent financial literacy with the capacity to develop and build creative solutions

-Results orientated approach and desire to deliver tangible outcomes that feed into strategic goals of the organisation

-Successful delivery of funding applications and approved funding agreements

-Knowledge of government policies and regulations in relation to business compliance
