ABOUT EREA:

Edmund Rice Education Australia (EREA) is a National Not-for-Profit Organisation, responsible for the governance and administration of 55 Catholic schools in the Edmund Rice tradition across Australia.

The successful candidate will be part of a supportive team at the EREA National Office and undertake rewarding work which positively impacts the education of over 39,000 young people across Australia.

 

ABOUT THE ROLE:

This newly developed role will support schools across Australia to create and execute generationally excellent capital master plans; be responsible for innovative and effective Mission Sustainability Reviews; and support schools in requiring short term assistance. Flexible work arrangements will be in line with the EREA Flexible Work Arrangements Policy.

Travel is an essential component of the role and it is expected that there will be 25-40% travel time to all states and territories.

 

To succeed in the role you will have:

*Tertiary qualifications in business/finance/commerce/law or equivalent

*A canny, resourceful, and creative work style

*Proven capital experience in a school, hospital, or other similar context

*Skills at working with a broad array of people, being a strong listener, able to interpret requirements and deliver feedback directly, clearly, and jargon-free

*The ability to be commercial and capable of driving a fair contract with builders and architects

*The ability to imagine and translate EREA’s mission, pedagogy, and financial constraints into a physical build balancing pragmatism with strategic intent

*Understanding of, and commitment to the values of a Catholic educational system of schools in the Edmund Rice tradition.
