The Edmund Rice Education Australia Council is pleased to announce that Paul Linossier has been appointed a member of the Edmund Rice Education Australia Board from 1 June 2020.
A Victorian resident, Paul will bring to the EREA Board his experienced leadership in working with disadvantaged youth, ministries of the Christian Brothers, the Victorian Department of Education and Early Childhood Development, and the prevention of family violence, all with a focus on social justice and positive social change.
Paul has held a variety of Chief Executive Officer roles, including Uniting (Victoria and Tasmania) Ltd, Wesley Mission Victoria, the Foundation to Prevent Violence against Women and Children (Interim), which became Our Watch, and MacKillop Family Services.
His board experience includes VCOSS, UnitingCare Australia, (2017-2020), Edmund Rice Community Services (NSW) (2006-2009), and Catholic Social Services Victoria (1996-2008).
Paul holds a Bachelor of Arts of Social Work (Hons) degree from Monash University, and Executive Masters degree in Public Administration, from Melbourne University. He has undertaken studies in theology at Bachelor and Licentiate level at Ridley College.
He has been at the leading edge of national reforms which have the potential to change deeply embedded cultural biases and change the outlook for future generations. Paul said: “In regard to these reforms, education is central to future opportunity and positive social change.”
In his spare time, Paul is a member of the Camberwell Hockey Club Men’s Masters Committee and plays hockey for the club’s O’45’s and the Veterans.
