ABOUT THE ROLE:           

This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in supporting the National Director School Engagement and Director of Schools – VIC/TAS. This full-time role is responsible for providing professional executive and administrative support to these two key members of the EREA Leadership Team (both Melbourne-based). The role requires initiative, the ability to self-start and capacity to value add.

This would be a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Executive Assistant or someone with the transferrable skills looking to make a career change.

The School Engagement Team works closely with school Principals, Deputy Principals, Heads of Campus and school communities to provide strategic oversight of the leadership and administration of EREA schools.

 

As a key addition to this team, some of your responsibilities will include:

*High level diary and calendar management including coordinating and organising meetings (internal and external)

*Monitoring emails and taking telephone calls with a high degree of professionalism, accuracy, discretion and confidentiality

*Booking and amending travel requirements

*Document production (eg. reports and presentations) to a high standard in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and other platforms, and formatting and proofreading documents with a high level of accuracy

*Developing and distributing agendas, recording minutes and following up the status of action items

*Assisting with conducting research, gathering and compiling data

*Coordinating all arrangements and bookings for events

*Executive support to assist in the transition to a new governance structure

*Other general administrative tasks as required.

To succeed in the role you will have:

*Effective verbal and written communication skills

*A courteous, engaging and efficient manner

*The ability to work collaboratively in a team and autonomously

*Effective time management, achieving deadlines and follow up of actions

*Confidence to seek out information/ raw data on topics as requested

*A proactive approach and high levels of initiative

*A strong work ethic

*Competency in using Microsoft software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams (and in learning to use new software)

*An understanding of or openness to Catholic Education in the Edmund Rice tradition
