Global Virtual Immersions: Staying Connected during COVID-19

Overview

The Global Virtual Immersions Programs enable schools with existing programs to stay connected with their partners during COVID-19. While we are asked to stay local and not travel, it is still valuable to provide opportunities for our students to continue to develop relationships, learn about important issues in our world and dialogue with people from the Majority world about thing that matter. Doing this while still experiencing the richness of the people and culture of our partners.

The Process of a Global Virtual Immersion

Learn

Students learn about the country and people that the school is partnered with, including by connecting locally with communities.

Engage

Students meet and dialogue, via video conference, with partners from the host country.

Deepen

Students reflect on their experiences in the context of faith, both their own and those of the host communities.

Act

Students plan to take action for a better world for all, acting both locally and globally.
