This Mass is a NAIDOC Week event and in 2018 we are celebrating the theme BECAUSE OF HER, WE CAN! So it is a very special occasion to join us as we celebrate Vicki Clark (Mutthi Mutthi/ Wemba Wamba) and her work as Founder of the FIRE Carrier program and so many other initiatives of leadership of Aboriginal Catholic Ministry. We have decided to honour her amazing contribution not only to the Aboriginal Community but to the wider community including the initiative of the FIRE Carriers which now operates in over 108 schools Victoria wide.
Our Faithful leader for 25 years, Vicki Clark has lead the Aboriginal Catholic Ministry Victoria with the strength and courage of a true gentle warrior who has fought for her community with unwavering passion and commitment today we honour her resilience and recognise that ……BECAUSE OF HER, WE CAN!

Vicki has participated in the Commonwealth and State Government consultations that formulated the current Willandra Lakes World Heritage Property Plan of Management, participating as an active stakeholder as representative of the affiliated Aboriginal Tribal Groups (Mutthi Mutthi). 2018 has been an incredible year for Vicki as she also became a Grandmother for the first time.
