Students from Argentina Visit Australia

Argentinian Students visit Australia

Over two weeks in August, five students and a teacher from Argentina visited Australia as part of an Edmund Rice Education beyond Borders exchange. They were from our partner school in Buenos Aires, Cardinal Newman College. During their time in Australia, the students were able to visit Melbourne, Yeppoon and Sydney and were hosted by St Kevin’s, St Brendan’s and St Pius X. Some of the activities they participated in included:

  • Homestay with families in Melbourne and Sydney
  • Spending time in the Boarding House at St Brendans
  • Visiting St Edmunds Wahroonga and St Edwards Gosford
  • Learning about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture
  • Participating in the St Pius Year 12 Retreat
  • Visiting the Rockhampton Flexible Learning Centre
  • Participating in the Community Service Program of St Kevins
  • Being welcomed during mass at Chatswood Parish
  • Helping some of our students with their Spanish lessons!
