About the Organisation:
Edmund Rice Ministries Oceania (ERMO) has been established by the Christian Brothers Oceania Province to support and develop the association and work of 14 successful Edmund Rice community service entities across Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea.
The ministries associated with ERMO work to address a broad range of needs in the community in the areas of socio-economic disadvantage, education support, addressing social isolation, health and wellbeing, disability, social justice and reconciliation.
The intention is for ERMO to grow and develop independently of the Christian Brothers into the future and is therefore in a process of significant organisational change.
About the Opportunity:
Reporting to the ERMO Executive Officer, this newly developed leadership role is primarily focused on supporting day to day operations within the organisation and building capacity to enable growth opportunities.
It is a pivotal position, as part of the ERMO Executive Team and requires a passionate, energetic and creative professional to work collaboratively to ensure the vision and purpose of ERMO are realised. The work of this position will amplify our current impact across Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea, building the capacity of local initiatives to create sustained change.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
*Ensuring the purpose, culture and vision of the organisation drives program development and delivery
*Ensuring regulatory compliance and associated systems are maintained
*Working collaboratively to build capacity within the organisation
*Coordinating risk management
*Work collaboratively to develop and maintain key stakeholder relationships
About the Candidate:
The successful candidate will have a genuine interest in this creative and challenging leadership role, developing a contemporary response to building capacity within a purpose driven, community service organisation.
They will have:
*A proven capacity to provide purpose driven leadership in the community services sector
*An appreciation of and commitment to Mission within the context of the Edmund Rice charism with the Edmund Rice tradition
*Ability to work successfully with a religious institute or faith based agency
*Capacity to work with organisations across different contexts and cultures
*Compliance with statutory and Province requirements in respect to Child Safety and legal obligations
*Tertiary qualification in the community services sector
*Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role
*Experience in strategic planning, reporting to Boards and legal entities
*Effective experience in risk management systems at an organisation level
*Effective experience in human resource management, risk management and OSHW
*Effective experience in the management of a community services agency at a state or national level
*Previous experience working with people facing adversity
*Ability to work collaboratively at a senior level
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills
*Proficient use of Information Technology such as laptops, mobile phones and their applications such as software including Google, MS Office, Outlook, Share file and intranet services
