St Virgil’s College, Hobart

Starting date: Term 4 2021 (or negotiable)

The Executive Director of Edmund Rice Education Australia (EREA) is seeking to appoint an experienced and contemporary educator to the position of Principal at St Virgil’s College, Hobart, with a preference to commence in Term 4 2021 for a handover with the current Principal. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to lead the St Virgil’s College Community as it transitions to become Tasmania’s only K to 12 Catholic school for boys by 2024.

St Virgil’s College is proudly a Catholic School in the Edmund Rice tradition, currently educating boys from Kindergarten and in Years 3 to 10. The College has two campuses, located in Hobart and Austins Ferry, and has a current enrolment of approximately 830 students, supported by over 100 teaching and support staff.

The successful applicant will be an experienced educator with a passion for learning and having relevant leadership experience to satisfy the selection criteria for this key senior position.
