EREA National Strategic Directions 2025 - 2028

Edmund Rice Education Australia continues its ongoing quest to support the formation and growth of over forty thousand children and young people in every state and territory of Australia. The EREA National Strategic Directions articulate a pathway to the growth and expression of the EREA Charter.

The National Strategic Directions are underpinned by a commitment to Child Safety, First Nations Education and Reconciliation, Liberating Practice, Global Engagement and Stewardship.

These Strategic Directions express the priorities of the Trustees of Edmund Rice Education Australia. Underpinned by the call to faithfulness and transformation, these priorities are shared by Governing Boards and school communities.

The National Strategic Directions guide the work of the National Team, Governing Bodie and their Teams, School Leaders and their communities for the next three years.

EREA National Strategic Directions

Priorities

In the context of the Gospel, First Nations Wisdom and our Catholic tradition, and through the lens of the EREA Charter, we commit to the following priorities:

Inclusively Catholic in the Edmund Rice Tradition

A national community of faith-filled schools proactively contributing to the evolution of the Australian Catholic Church.

National and Global Identity and Voice

An informed, reflective and courageous community of learners and educators standing with and advocating for access, equity and justice.

Confidence, Agency and Achievement for All

A national learning community supporting the aspirations and affirming the achievements of young people within safe environments.

Stewardship and Governance for Now and in the Future

A well-formed Catholic organisation known for leading and governing prudently and transparently, supporting our schools as places of faithfulness and transformation.

Empowered by liberating teaching and learning experiences, we open our hearts and minds, so that we are hope-filled and free to build a better world for all.

Charter for Catholic Schools in the Edmund Rice Tradition

Jesus’ invitation to love, justice, compassion, peace and faith, calls us to life-giving relationships within our communities and the wider world.
