Child Safety

EREA Governing Bodies and Child Safety

EREA VSL has ‘no tolerance’ for all forms of child abuse and is committed to ensuring an active child-safe culture is embedded across practices, policies, and processes to mitigate and manage risks to child wellbeing and safety. Our schools are faith-centred communities and have a moral, legal and mission-driven responsibility to create safe, nurturing, welcoming, inclusive and culturally supportive learning environments for children and young people.

EREA VSL facilitates and oversees the implementation of the Child Safe Standards for schools and school boarding premises as detailed in Ministerial Order No. 1359 – Implementing the Child Safe Standards – Managing the risk of child abuse in schools and school boarding premises.
