A Call to Participation Formation

Over the last two terms approximately 550 new staff from EREA schools in every state and territory in Australia completed the A Call to Participation formation program. From siting in circle in the red dirt of Alice Springs to a whole school experience in Hobart for St Virgil’s and St Frances, these staff developed a stronger understanding of the foundational stories that underpin and shape the work of Edmund Rice schools as expressed in the Charter and made connections with others from across their region.

Participants in the programs felt that the main benefits for them were:

– “That it made the values and directions of EREA very clear so I could align it with what is happening at my own school.”

– “The sense of community I felt with different people across EREA was brilliant.

– “Certainly exceeded my expectations and provided some terrific reflection and clarity of our purpose and meaning, which can transfer into our daily practice.”

This term longer serving staff are enjoying the opportunity to renew and refresh in the A Call to Transformation program. While the Melbourne program occurred last week, the programs in QLD, NSW and SA are yet to come.
